Can you believe we’ve been hustling for 10 months !?! Where does the time go? We are so appreciative of all of your support through this time, we couldn’t do this without you!
On Demand Classes
For the month of November we are doing a soft release of our On Demand classes. We will be uploading 2 new classes each week for you to take when it’s convenient for you. These classes will be $2 a class for the month of November. And… since November is all about being grateful, thankful and giving back, we have decided to take all proceeds received from the On Demand classes and donate them to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation. This cause is very close to one of our Hustler’s heart. Ready her story below:
“This is Matthew, a Type 1 Diabetes warrior! On August 29th, 2020 this sweet boy was diagnosed with diabetes at Hasbro Children’s Hospital. The entire week prior, Matthew just seemed “off” but we couldn’t put a finger on what was wrong. Multiple calls to the doctor were placed, reassuring us he was likely just fine since he still had quite a bit of energy. Very quickly though, things began to change. Bedtime came on August 28th and the pit I had in my stomach grew and grew. Matthew was drinking way more than what seemed possible for an almost 4-year-old and suddenly began wetting the bed through diapers every two hours. He was cranky, tired, and so very irritated. I had diabetes in the back of my mind due to the #1 symptom, of extreme thirst but I hoped and prayed that it would not be true. After his symptoms worsened we rushed to the hospital with blood glucose over five times the normal range. Matthew was admitted that evening and sent home three days later with a brand new routine that he will need to follow for the rest of his life. We were sent away with a car full of insulin, boxes of syringes and pens for injections, blood glucose meters, ketone sticks, Dexcom supplies, and numerous books to learn to care for our child. In just 2 short months, we have experienced many challenges and setbacks. But this boy is resilient. He is strong. He is courageous and nothing short of amazing. He is healthy. Matthew has had close to 275 insulin injections to date and countless finger sticks. But still, at the end of the day all we can see is his big, bright, contagious smile. Always trust your instincts as a parent if you suspect something is not right. It just may save their life. I think about if we had waited just one more day. We would have likely landed in the ICU fighting hard with a case of DKA. As a family we are so very proud of how far Matthew has come. There WILL be a cure for this terrible disease someday and we will continue to fight for you and that cause. Keep on winning buddy, you are SO incredibly loved!”
